This was the first year ever that I spent Christmas without family. I usually have everyone over on Christmas Eve, and we have dinner and open gifts. Then I would go to my brother's on Christmas day. But this year everyone decided that it just wasn't worth the risk. But, it was OK! We did a lot of face time, calls and texts, and while I missed our usual festivities, I felt at peace that we did the responsible thing. I expect a similar, very quiet New Years Eve. We will celebrate in the future!
I am working on some financial goals for 2021, and a 2020 spending wrap up. Now that I am retired and my finances are pretty much on auto pilot, I need to be creative with some money goals/challenges.
One thing I know for sure, I am ready for a very frugal January.
I hope everyone enjoyed your holiday, in whatever form it took this year. Looking forward to the possibilities of a much better 2021!
